Focus on Fitness at BWH
Boston’s residents lead the nation in participation in field hockey and exercising on treadmills (American Sports Data, Inc.). Despite this, Beantown has slipped down the fitness scale and is now out of the Top 10 most fit cities in the United States for a third year in a row (Men’s Fitness magazine online) and the city has far fewer joggers than average (American Sports Data, Inc.).
With such mixed data on our city’s fitness status, BWH Bulletin wanted to know how BWHers make it a point to stay fit. After all, we are good at promoting good health to our patients, but how good are we at promoting a fit lifestyle for ourselves?
